Originally, Joseph’s manager approached us via another client, Tronic Records, to help with a rebrand. They had been working with an agency on a logo project but it wasn’t working out. We used our normal Q&A process to learn as much as possible about Joseph, his brand, his music and his fanbase. Then we worked up a number of logo proposals to put in front of Joseph to create a dialogue.

The new logo is a considered balance between positive and negative space which creates the initials JC. Knowing that it would have to work standalone and in conjunction with many other logos for DJs, promoters and venues on event flyers led us to keeping the proposal as simple in form as possible.
