Period: May 2012 – Oct 2017
Client: Integral Music Management / Tronic
Subject: Branding and record label templates
We worked over a five year period to help define the visual identity for Tronic, the world #2 techno record label.
Our Task Was
We have always been fans of Christian Smith, the DJ, record producer and label head. In May 2012, he posted on social media asking for a designer to create artwork for his label. We got in touch and the rest is history.
What We’ve Done
Over the next five years we worked on new versions of the release template for all general releases on Tronic. In addition, we designed various individual artist album sleeves. Creating all of these in formats suitable for social media and all the main digital record stores, such as Beatport, Juno, etc.
We also created a new logo for the management agency, Integral Music Management.
- Annual EP / single release templates
- Album covers
- Formatted for all digital media
- Motion graphics (video) versions of covers for YouTube
We worked with Christian and his team for over five years, which is an ideal period as it allowed us to closely monitor the brand’s development over that time and help define its direction.
In late 2017 it was time for a change as the label had grown significantly in our time together. So their management agency hired an in house designer to work across a range of record labels under this control, including Tronic. We’re looking forward to seeing Christian, Rena and all of our friends at future club nights together.
