About Project

Period: Jul 2016 – Ongoing

Client: Shirley Snells Florists

Subject: Brand strategy and refresh. Graphic design.

Shirley Snells is a long established Salisbury florists, first trading in 1969. They are the leading florists in the city with a thriving consumer and business customer base alongside a very successful wedding flowers segment.

Our Task Was

When the two business owners were looking for branding agency they approached An.X Ltd. to take a look at their current branding and graphic design as the existing designs had been used for a number of years. They felt it was time for a brand refresh. In addition, they were seeking larger profile corporate clients and wanted a brand that would enable them to approach this segment confident that the visual presentation of their business matched the already high quality of the service they deliver.

What We’ve Done

After some initial research into the brand’s development over time and its key aspects we were able to present a new logo, font and colour palette which led on to further work implementing the new graphic design style across the various tools the business uses day to day.

  • Rapid Branding Strategy
  • Logo Design
  • Brand Manual
  • Business Stationery
  • Signage
  • Company Vehicles
  • Flyers
  • Pop up banners

Result

The orchid that formed the centrepiece of the old logo was a necessary requirement to to be used in the new one. Otherwise, the rest of the brand architecture was open to be updated and modernised.

This allowed us to re-evaluate the style of the orchid and ally it to a range of cool, fresh modern colours and fonts.

When they came to us, the owners had a list of corporate clients that they wanted to work with. Within six months of the brand refresh being implemented all the potential clients became actual ones.

“The new branding has really raised our profile. An.X have always gone that extra mile to ensure we are a happy client.”
